When I started Dawn’s plan, I knew nothing about working out, or nutrition. I thought since I ate a small diet yogurt in the morning and maybe a chicken salad pita for lunch that I was doing good. I even had a full gym in my basement but the only thing I ever did was walk on the treadmill while I watched T.V. I weighed myself every day, and on most days, was mad at myself so would barely eat and would end up with a headache. I kept on gaining weight. I work at the desk in a surgical clinic and was always tired from running around the office all day. I was referred to Dawn after deciding that I never wanted to have plastic surgery, but was considering doing something about my body. Everything was moving south and I hated my arms and my butt
She gave me a one month plan to start. Between her quick workouts and learning about why we NEED to eat, I started seeing results pretty quickly.The first week was hard for me, I wasn’t used to eating that often. However, I was surprised at how my body reacted when I actually started eating more food, no more headaches! I am amazed now at how many girls go on diets and do it all wrong like I did.
I’m proof that all dieting does is make you flabbier, and maybe even contributes to you feeling sick! Now, I wear sleeveless dresses every day, and even wore a 2 piece bathing suit on vacation this year! Not bad for having 5 grandkids eh? Everyone asks me if I had a tummy tuck and comments on how small my waist is!
I have so much energy that I even workout after a long day at the office. One of the best feelings besides fitting into a size 6, is I don’t ever feel like I am being deprived. I try to tell the girls at work, but they just keep trying to lose weight quickly. Now I’m the one saying to my friends, food isn’t why you get fat, NOT eating is. Sitting around at a desk and never really using your muscles is why everything gets flabby. It’s hard to believe that at my age, I look better than my pictures from 15 years ago!
